Bertha Emerson's active lifestyle included water skiing at the age of 74. However, as she grew older, she began to notice a decline in her strength and mobility. At the age of 87, she sought physical and speech therapy for the first time in her life.

During her first therapy appointment at Rehab America Humboldt, she had great difficulty walking and was at a high risk for falls. She also had trouble communicating her wants and needs. We are proud to say that Ms. Emerson has surpassed our expectations and is now able to perform most everyday tasks independently.
